I absolutely adore Angie and Tim… as a couple, as individuals, and as my friends. I promise that you will never meet nicer people and when I met their families, I understood why. Everyone at their wedding was incredibly kind, warm, and so much fun to be around! I had the best time and was so happy to have shared that day with all of them.

Their wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston had so many special touches and GORGEOUS details! From Tim’s mom officiating the ceremony (how cool is that!), to the handmade sign directing the guests where to go, to Angie’s jewelry that belonged to her grandmother… each element was so thoughtful and lovely.

I am over the moon happy for the two of them and I wish them all of the very best!! xoxo

What do you get when you combine an amazingly creative and stylish bride, a couple who is head over heels in love, and a beautiful venue on New Year’s Eve? You get the wedding of the year! Seriously. I was so blown away by how Robin Cannon (wedding planner extraordinaire) took Laura’s vision and transformed 701 Whaley into the most beautiful and magical space. Talk about a WOW factor!

I have had the pleasure of working with Laura and Matt for the past year and a half as they planned their big day, and during these many months, I have become so very fond of my new friends. They are so warm, sweet, fun, and TOTALLY hilarious (ahem, Randall)… just an incredible couple who radiate love to everyone around them. They always trusted me, which as a photographer, is the greatest gift from your clients and helps me to do my best work.

Laura and Matt, I love you two, and am so honored that you chose me to share your day with. I wish you ALL the best and hope that we always keep in touch! You know you’ve always got a sushi date if you need one.

Melynda + John: The Wedding

I really enjoyed getting to know this couple, their families, and friends! Melynda and I met almost a year ago to discuss her plans for their fall wedding. The color palette turned out beautiful, the weather was perfect, the venue was magnificent, and a good time was had by all! The ceremony was held at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, followed by a reception at the Palmetto Collegiate Institute.

Katelyn + Andrew: The Wedding

What is better than a wedding on the beach in Charleston? I would have to say… a first look session at sunrise on Folly Beach! Katelyn and Andrew decided to see each other for the first time just after the sun had come up and it was breathtaking! They are such laid-back people and their beautiful wedding reflected that… everyone wore flip-flops and everything revolved around the sun, sand, and shells. And, of course, the love that they have for one another!

The ceremony was held on the beach and the reception followed at The Tides Hotel, where Blair and her team did a wonderful job with all of the details and amazing food. The cake, made by The Cake Stand in Charleston, is not only the best looking cake I’ve ever seen, but it tasted heavenly as well. I loved that they used brown sugar to make the sand!

Katelyn and Andrew, thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your amazing day! I wish you both endless happiness and a very long life together!!

Laura + Andrew: The Wedding

This wedding was great fun for everyone involved, including me! Laura and Andrew were both so relaxed and joyful the whole day- every detail went off without a hitch. They were married at the church Laura grew up in, then had a big ole party at Timberlake Country Club in Chapin for their reception. They have a wonderful group of family and friends; this is actually my second of three weddings I’ll be photographing from this circle of friends- something I consider a great honor and pleasure.

I have to give a huge THANKS to my two assistants, Lee and Jonathan, who helped my very pregnant self be in three places at once!

Ok, now this next series of images started out like any other garter toss. Except Andrew’s groomsmen had other plans. I had no idea what was happening until it was all over and I’m pretty sure Laura didn’t either!

Brandy + Justin: The Wedding

This wedding blew me away. A beautifully in love couple, two beyond sweet families, an exquisite dress, the most fabulous shoes I’ve ever laid eyes on, and a room full of people who just adored the bride and groom. The ceremony took place in Chapin at the charming St. Thomas Lutheran Church before heading over to the Timberlake Country Club nestled on Lake Murray. These two are not just good friends of mine, they are amazing people who are going to do amazing things together.

Bran and JP, I am so honored to have been a part of your celebration and I wish you all the love and happiness in the world!

Cicely + Brian: The Wedding

This lovely couple were married at the church Cicely grew up in, in the town of Kingstree, SC. Since they live in Atlanta, they had the wonderful ladies at J Ellis Signature Events help pull everything together for them. I just loved the deep purples and greens they used to accent the gorgeous ballroom at the Country Club of SC. And the lighting! It totally brought the wow factor to the room and the night! Cicely and Brian, I wish you so much happiness for your future together and it was such a pleasure working with you!

Jessie + Brandon: The Wedding

This beautiful wedding had it all. Tons of laughter, many joyous tears, a close-knit family who truly enjoys each other, and a couple so in love you can feel it. I am lucky to have been a part of this special day and to have had the opportunity to get to know Jessie and Brandon.

The ceremony was held at Lexington Presbyterian Church, followed by a fabulous reception at the Columbia Museum of Art. Jessie’s sister Mandy did a spectacular job with the planning, making sure that everything was flawless for this most deserving couple!
