There's something so magical about newborn sessions that have always made them a favorite of mine. Spending time with a family that has just brought home it's newest member, when everyone is getting to know each other, figuring out the new normal, where most days are only spent sleeping and eating and establishing a routine... this is such a special time and I love having the opportunity to document it. Thank you sweet Hoey family for having me, y'all are the best, and I hope to see you again soon!
Here are a few favorites from my session with the sweet Ozcelik family. I hope y'all are enjoying your new home in Turkey!
Hanging out with this family is always a super fun adventure and I look forward to it every time. We wanted to do a sort of 'day in the life' session to capture who their family is right now, doing the things they love together. What does that look like when you have two charismatic, energetic, fun-loving boys? Well… there are a lot of trampoline-jumping, frog-catching, rock-skipping, zip-lining, hammock-swinging, stick-poking, stair-climbing, tree-swatting, piggy-back riding adventures. And tons of laughter. I loved every minute of it (and slept really well that night, haha). Hats off to you, Beki and Will, for raising such fine young men and having such a blast doing it. xoxo
I have been dreaming of doing this session with my littles for a long time. Dreaming of making these sweet photographs for them to look at when they are teenagers and fighting over the car they will likely share. And for me to look at when we drop them off at college. And hopefully, one day, for their children to look at. I love being able to create something that is part of a family's legacy. Both for my clients and for myself. The days are long and the years are short when you have small children. I want to always remember these days.

Happy Mother's Day to my dear friend and one of the most inspiring women I know. I feel so very fortunate to have been photographing this sweet couple for the past 4 years and look forward to many more wonderful years together. Love you, Larson family!
Spending time with this sweet family is always a pleasure. It's hard to believe that it's been a year since I photographed Davis as a newborn. Isn't he such a handsome little dude? Love him and his baby blues.
